Senior AI Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and build of end-to-end generative AI applications using LangGraph, including agentic workflows and RAG pipelines.
• Define and drive architecture for scalable, secure, and reliable AI solutions deployed in production.
• Develop robust backend APIs with FastAPI, containerized via Docker and deployed on Kubernetes (AKS).
• Architect search and retrieval solutions using Azure AI Search and MongoDB, including indexing and hybrid search configurations.
• Collaborate with product managers and data scientists to deliver AI features that solve real insurance business problems.
• Mentor junior engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and technical guidance.
• Evaluate and improve model quality, retrieval strategies, and production performance.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with strong fundamentals in system design and clean code.
• Proficiency in Python and experience building production-grade backend services.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs such as Azure OpenAI or Anthropic.
• Proven production experience with LangGraph and LangChain.
• Hands-on experience with Azure services, including Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, and AKS.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments.
• Experience with Databricks and PySpark for large-scale data processing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing evaluation frameworks for LLM systems (hallucination detection, offline metrics).
• Experience implementing responsible AI practices in regulated environments.
• Background in traditional ML, data engineering, or ETL pipelines.
• Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
• Prior exposure to insurance domain concepts such as underwriting or claims.
