Senior AI Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Lead complex analytical, statistical, machine learning, and applied AI workstreams across multiple business areas.
• Translate ambiguous business needs into structured analytical strategies, model designs, and actionable recommendations.
• Design and execute models for use cases such as segmentation, forecasting, propensity modeling, and anomaly detection.
• Own and improve notebook-based development and reproducible workflows in Databricks and other cloud environments.
• Apply machine learning and AI methods, including LLM-enabled workflows, to support classification, summarization, and pattern detection.
• Serve as a senior partner to stakeholders, advising on analytical tradeoffs, model usefulness, and evaluation rigor.
• Mentor junior and mid-level practitioners through technical guidance and quality reviews.

Requirements

• Deep working knowledge of statistics, probability, machine learning, and experimentation.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with notebook-based development and collaborative workflows, specifically using Databricks.
• Strong understanding of supervised and unsupervised learning, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
• Familiarity with applied AI methods, including LLM-enabled workflows and text-oriented analysis.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work effectively within distributed teams across different time zones.

Preferred Qualifications

• Databricks associate or professional-level certification.
• Training or certification in Google Cloud (GCP) or Microsoft Azure AI/ML services.
• Experience with MLflow, Apache Spark, or PySpark.
• Advanced coursework in statistics, forecasting, or analytical modeling.
