Senior AI Architect

Responsibilities

• Design and build the end-to-end AI platform architecture, including data ingestion, feature engineering, model training, serving, and monitoring.
• Develop a data lakehouse architecture on AWS using Delta Lake or Apache Iceberg with Databricks as the primary compute layer.
• Architect and implement a feature store with online and offline capabilities, including point-in-time joins and versioning.
• Own cloud infrastructure for all AI and data workloads on AWS, managing EKS clusters, GPU compute, and cost governance.
• Build and own the MLOps platform, covering experiment tracking, CI/CD for ML, and model drift detection.
• Design the AI services layer, including reusable inference APIs and model serving infrastructure.
• Act as the senior technical authority for the AI Initiative, setting engineering standards and mentoring engineers.
• Produce and maintain high-quality architecture documentation, including C4 diagrams and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, and AI/ML systems.
• 3-5 years of experience in a senior architecture role.
• Proven track record of building and shipping production-quality AI systems end-to-end.
• Expert-level AWS skills across multi-service architecture design and implementation.
• Deep hands-on data engineering background, including production pipelines and data lakehouses.
• Strong software engineering discipline with production-quality Python and SQL.
• Deep understanding of the AI/ML model lifecycle and the infrastructure required to support it at scale.
• Experience embedding security, data privacy, and compliance requirements into architecture.

• Experience in the Fintech industry.
• Familiarity with GCP or Azure cloud environments.
