Senior Agentic AI Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build bidder-adjacent agentic workflows that recommend and execute campaign control actions such as targeting constraints, budget pacing, and creative routing.
• Implement production-grade RAG systems using retrieval from policies, campaign history, and near-real-time telemetry to optimize grounding and reduce hallucinations.
• Create safe tool and action interfaces featuring idempotent execution, audit logs, approval gates, and rollback behaviors.
• Own AgentOps by developing evaluation harnesses, regression suites, and online experimentation (A/B testing) tied to business outcomes like CPA and ROAS.
• Implement end-to-end observability for tracing prompts, retrieval, tool calls, and latency, while ensuring reliability through circuit breakers and safe defaults.
• Partner with Backend, Data Platform, and SRE teams to define the boundary between deterministic bidding and agent-driven control-plane decisions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building production backend or applied AI systems (design, shipping, and operation).
• Strong engineering proficiency in Java or Go (Python is acceptable for evals and tooling).
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and agentic patterns, including tool use, structured outputs, and multi-step loops.
• Hands-on experience with RAG (embeddings, hybrid retrieval, reranking, chunking, and context assembly).
• Proven experience building AI evaluations and monitoring systems (offline benchmarks and online experiments).
• Strong fundamentals in cloud and distributed systems (APIs, microservices, streaming/eventing; AWS preferred).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in programmatic advertising (DSP/SSP/RTB) or high-scale real-time decisioning domains.
• Experience with safety and policy enforcement for agent tools, such as prompt sanitization and schema validation.
• Experience designing "AI control plane" systems that influence production outcomes while maintaining stable serving paths.
• Familiarity with experimentation platforms, feature stores, and large-scale telemetry pipelines.
