Senior Advanced Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop advanced features and functionality for the ANTHEM cockpit offering
• Analyze customer and operational requirements to define systems architecture
• Perform integration, systems, and functional testing
• Develop, validate, and verify system level requirements for flight deck avionics
• Troubleshoot current systems interfaces and performance problems
• Lead or assist in coordinating engineering review activities (SRR, PDR, CDR)
• Interface with stakeholders including Equipment Engineering and Customer Engineering Leads
• Manage efforts based on priorities, availability, and commitments

Requirements

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Avionics, Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering
• 10+ years of combined system/software/hardware product engineering development experience
• Detailed understanding of Avionics System software and Certification
• Experience in aircraft functions such as Displays, Flight Management, Communication, Navigation, or Flight Controls
• Knowledge of Agile development processes and tools (JIRA)
• Experience with IBM Rational DOORS NG
• Knowledge of ARP4754A and Aero Process

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with functional decomposition
• ARP4754 process knowledge
• 5+ years of avionics platform system engineering experience
• 3+ years of Systems Safety Analysis experience
• Academic background in Systems Engineering
• Six Sigma Greenbelt certification
• Knowledge of EPIC/APEX platform and applications
