Senior Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Drive design improvements and ensure flawless execution of mechanical design tasks
• Lead work assignments and mentor team members as required
• Estimate, plan, and schedule complex engineering tasks
• Implement Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) within the System Dynamics Team
• Drive innovation, growth targets, and cycle time improvement initiatives using an agile mindset
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams through strong interpersonal and networking skills

Requirements

• Strong fundamentals in Mechanics of Solids, Vibrations, Rotor Dynamics, Machine Design, and Finite Element Analysis
• Proven experience in system dynamics and linear/non-linear vibration analyses
• Proficiency in Nastran, MATLAB, and Hypermesh
• Solid understanding of Engineering Drawings and GD&T
• Working knowledge of MBSE and CAMEO
• Master’s or Ph.D. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with an understanding of Gas Turbine Engine components
• Relevant experience based on education: 10+ years for B.Tech, 8+ years for Master's, or 3–5 years for Ph.D.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Ansys/WB, LS-Dyna, and NX modeling
• Experience contributing to intellectual property (IP) and advanced design solutions
