Senior Advanced Embedded Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the verification and validation of avionics embedded software within a high-stakes aerospace environment.
• Drive common test architecture, environments, strategies, and tools.
• Lead technical development activities and guide lower-level engineers to meet quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
• Manage stakeholders both within and outside the organization to propose technical improvements.
• Explore and implement new opportunities in test methodologies and test design automation.
• Utilize debuggers, simulators, and structural coverage tools to ensure software integrity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (ECE, CS, or EEE).
• 10+ years of experience in software development, systems, or software verification.
• Minimum of 5 years of dedicated experience in software verification and validation (V&V).
• Deep expertise in DO-178B/C design assurance guidelines and supplements.
• Proficiency in C, C++, and Python, as well as embedded programming and model-based testing.
• Hands-on experience with structural coverage tools such as VectorCover, LDRA, TCA, CodeTest, or TRACE 32.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence technical decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Communication, Navigation, and Surveillance (CNS) products.
• Knowledge of Flight Management and Global Navigation technologies.
• Experience with Change Impact Analysis (RA, DRAT), Tool Qualification, TRR, RFS, and Certification Documentation.
• Familiarity with SOI#3 Audits.
