Senior Actuarial Specialist

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and enhancement of complex actuarial models for pricing, reserving, and forecasting.
• Conduct comprehensive actuarial analyses to support pricing strategies, including rate adequacy and rate indications.
• Oversee the preparation and review of actuarial reports, financial statements, and regulatory filings.
• Collaborate with senior actuaries to interpret large, complex data sets and provide actionable business insights.
• Perform rigorous reviews and validations of actuarial models and assumptions to identify areas for improvement.
• Drive the implementation of new actuarial methodologies, tools, and processes to increase efficiency.
• Communicate complex actuarial findings to non-technical stakeholders through clear presentations and reports.
• Lead cross-functional projects with finance, underwriting, and IT teams to support business objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of related actuarial experience.
• Strong proficiency in actuarial analytics, pricing strategy, and risk management.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS).
• Certification in Risk Management and Assurance (CRMA).
• Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (AAA).
