Senior Actuarial Data Scientist, AI Risk

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate AI models to identify insurable risks, vulnerabilities, and failure modes
• Partner with underwriters to structure innovative insurance coverage for AI systems
• Develop sophisticated rating tables and pricing models for complex AI-related risks
• Build analytical tools, prototypes, and automated processes using Python
• Utilize Large Language Models (LLMs) to enhance risk assessment and mitigation strategies
• Conduct quantitative research on emerging AI risks and industry trends
• Translate technical concepts into actionable insights for stakeholders

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of insurance industry and core actuarial principles (risk modeling, pricing, reserving)
• Proven track record in data science, statistical modeling, and machine learning
• Expertise in Python and libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment
• Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills

• Actuarial designations
• Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and their applications in risk assessment
