Senior Accounts Payable Specialist

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and process accounts payable invoices, ensuring accurate coding to the general ledger
• Prepare and process weekly payment runs to vendors via wire transfers, ACH, and other methods
• Maintain positive vendor relationships and address inquiries regarding payments and account statuses
• Assist in the month-end close process and prepare monthly accounts payable reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and tax laws, including VAT
• Support internal and external audits by providing AP-related schedules and documentation
• Assist with financial reporting and special projects as required

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role
• Hands-on experience using NetSuite ERP
• Experience working within multi-entity organizations, specifically those with European operations
• Familiarity with VAT reporting requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas and pivot tables
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Experience working within the life sciences or biotech industry
