Senior Accounting Specialist

Responsibilities

• Act as an outsourced senior accounting specialist to assist and advise clients on financial matters
• Provide analysis of accounting information for advisory services to outsourced Controllers or CFOs
• Prepare financial statements, tax forms, and sales tax reports
• Oversee and review the work of SBS Accounting Specialists
• Manage day-to-day accounting needs for clients, acting as their accounting department
• Reconcile client bank statements and calculate month-end journal entries
• Utilize cloud-based technology to account for transactions in real time
• Make recommendations to streamline client accounting and finance operations
• Participate in business development and identify opportunities to cross-sell services

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business required (Accounting preferred)
• 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Licensed CPA or CMA, or currently working towards obtaining one
• Strong understanding of GAAP guidelines
• Strong technology skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
