Senior Accounting Officer

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and validate financial statements including balance sheets, P&L, and cash flow reports for complex external clients.
• Manage accounts payable, receivable, and inter-company transactions across multi-entity structures using Zoho Books.
• Act as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts, ensuring proactive communication and professional relationship management.
• Own the full UAE VAT cycle, including registration, monthly/quarterly filings, reconciliation, and FTA correspondence.
• Prepare Corporate Tax schedules and supporting documentation in compliance with UAE regulations.
• Supervise and review the output of the Junior Client Accountant, providing specific written feedback and guidance.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of accounting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5-10 years of relevant work experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Zoho Books, specifically with multi-entity and multi-currency environments.
• Proven experience with full UAE VAT ownership (registration, filing, and reconciliation).
• Working knowledge of UAE Corporate Tax (Federal Decree-Law No. 47 of 2022).
• Expertise in multi-entity accounting, including inter-company transactions and consolidations.
• Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and formula-based reconciliation).
• Strong ability to maintain audit-ready records and prepare comprehensive audit schedules.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent professional accounting qualification.
