Senior Accounting Manager

About the Company

Radiant is an El Segundo, CA-based startup building the world’s first mass-produced, portable nuclear microreactors. The company’s first reactor, Kaleidos, is a 1-megawatt, fail-safe microreactor designed to provide critical power to hospitals, data centers, and remote sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations including fixed assets and bank reconciliations
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes and ensure timely financial reporting
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Maintain and monitor accounting policies and internal controls to ensure GAAP compliance
• Manage accounting for fixed assets, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals
• Oversee inventory accounting processes and ensure accurate COGS recognition
• Support audit processes and prepare documentation for external auditors
• Assist in implementing new systems, tools, or process improvements
• Collaborate with FP&A, procurement, operations, and HR on cross-functional initiatives
• Lead, mentor, and develop junior accounting staff

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, ION)
• Advanced Excel skills
• Ability to work 100% onsite in El Segundo, CA
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as necessary

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA certification
• Experience in government contracting, technology, or manufacturing
• Prior involvement in system implementations or upgrades
• Exposure to multi-entity or global accounting structures
• Familiarity with ASC 606, ASC 842, and other relevant accounting standards
