Senior Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Project manage the transition of all accounting activities from an outsourced firm to an internal function
• Evaluate, select, and implement a scalable ERP and integrate financial tech stack (Stripe, Ramp, etc.)
• Establish SOPs for month-end close, AP/AR, and payroll
• Manage end-to-end Stripe integration and reconciliation against the general ledger
• Direct ASC 606 compliance for SaaS subscriptions and consumption/usage models
• Execute full-cycle month-end close process
• Design and implement internal controls and oversee tax and compliance
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA certification required
• 7+ years of experience, including time in venture-backed startups
• Proven track record of building an accounting department from the ground up
• Direct experience with Stripe (Billing, Revenue Recognition, and Data Export)
• Deep understanding of consumption-based business models
• Expert-level Excel skills and experience implementing mid-market ERPs
• Experience managing Big 4 or mid-tier external audits
