Senior Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Review and sign off on the monthly close prepared by the outsourced accounting firm
• Own the chart of accounts, accounting policies, and internal reporting package
• Prepare the company for audits, investor/lender diligence, and board reporting
• Manage payroll, benefits, and equity accounting (Gusto, stock comp, cap table)
• Serve as the primary internal owner of the outsourced accounting relationship
• Initiate time-sensitive wires and manage vendor onboarding
• Lead the migration from QuickBooks Online to NetSuite, including data migration and process redesign
• Work with the Head of Finance on technical accounting for SAFEs, preferred stock, and R&D capitalization

Requirements

• 6+ years of accounting experience (mix of public accounting and operating company preferred)
• Experience owning a monthly close with sign-off responsibility
• Audit experience (either company-side or as an external auditor)
• Strong US GAAP foundation
• Experience managing or reviewing outsourced accounting or tax advisors
• Ability to work independently and build processes from scratch in a fast-paced startup

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA certification
• NetSuite or ERP implementation experience
• Multi-entity or multi-currency consolidation experience
• Experience in startup, hardware, energy, or infrastructure sectors
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, Brex, Gusto, and Carta
