About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support growth and innovation by scaling accounting processes for new markets
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to guide key business decisions
  • Own the close process including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
  • Enhance financial operations by assisting with premium accounting, accounts receivable, and AP functions
  • Ensure compliance and accuracy by supporting annual audits and responding to auditor requests

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a similar field
  • 3+ years of experience in public accounting or at a mid-late stage start-up
  • Advanced Excel and data manipulation skills
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statements
  • Proficiency in month-end closing processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA certification
  • Familiarity or experience with P&C insurance
