About the role
Responsibilities
- Support growth and innovation by scaling accounting processes for new markets
- Provide financial analysis and insights to guide key business decisions
- Own the close process including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Enhance financial operations by assisting with premium accounting, accounts receivable, and AP functions
- Ensure compliance and accuracy by supporting annual audits and responding to auditor requests
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a similar field
- 3+ years of experience in public accounting or at a mid-late stage start-up
- Advanced Excel and data manipulation skills
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statements
- Proficiency in month-end closing processes
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA certification
- Familiarity or experience with P&C insurance
