Senior Accounting Analyst

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and account reconciliations
• Assist accounting manager with payroll billbacks
• Draft corporate budget and assist with monthly classifications and financial review
• Calculate and reconcile monthly CAM charges, percent rent, and management fees
• Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts for accuracy and completeness
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Investigate accounting discrepancies and determine root causes
• Perform variance analysis and provide meaningful explanations for financial results
• Identify accounting process inefficiencies and recommend improvements
• Lead and support special projects related to accounting
• Facilitate and oversee new acquisition property setup including credit accounts, utilities, and banking

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate or property management
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with large datasets
• Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Finance background
• CPA certification
• Hands-on experience with property management accounting software
