Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Own assigned month-end close areas end-to-end, ensuring timely completion of all deliverables
• Prepare and record journal entries independently based on supporting data and accounting analysis
• Prepare supporting schedules and detailed analysis for recorded balances
• Perform medium-risk balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items promptly
• Analyze balance sheet and P&L fluctuations to explain unusual variances
• Ensure accounting records are complete, accurate, and compliant with US GAAP and internal policies
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities for assigned areas
• Assist with internal and external audits through the preparation of schedules and documentation
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve and streamline accounting processes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5 to 7 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP
• Experience supporting month-end close and general ledger accounting in a corporate or shared services environment
• Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and managing large data sets
• Experience working in ERP environments, preferably Workday
• Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and coordinate across global teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification such as CA, CPA, or CMA
