Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Analyze and interpret financial data to communicate results to management and stakeholders
• Assist in creating annual budgets, monitoring variances, and preparing financial forecasts
• Coordinate external audits and ensure timely submission of tax returns and compliance with tax regulations
• Conduct financial analysis and develop models to support strategic planning and decision-making
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting workflows and increase efficiency
• Mentor junior staff and maintain high standards of quality control over financial transactions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
• At least 4 years of professional experience in accounting or a related financial role
• Advanced Excel capabilities and familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
• Thorough understanding of GAAP, tax codes, and financial regulations
• Proven ability to analyze complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations
• Experience leading and mentoring junior team members
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification
• CMA (Certified Management Accountant) or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) certification
