Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Manage fixed assets and lease activity, including preparing month-end journal entries and account reconciliations
• Review lease and fixed asset invoices in NetSuite and reconcile recurring costs against amortization schedules
• Prepare and update lease schedules for any changes or modifications
• Record depreciation expense and reconcile fixed asset accounts
• Support the timely closing of month-end entries and collaborate with other teams to support the close process
• Drive the company's AI-first vision by leveraging AI tools to automate and streamline accounting workflows and agentic processes
• Support audit documentation and adhere to internal control processes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 5+ years of experience in the technology (SaaS) industry or a startup environment
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Hands-on experience with AI tools and a strong interest in applying them to automate accounting workflows
• Proficiency with NetSuite accounting software
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of ASC 842 lease accounting
• Experience building or deploying agentic workflows to complete multi-step accounting processes autonomously
• Experience connecting AI tools (such as Claude) to live data through MCPs and APIs
• Experience testing and validating new AI tools for accuracy and reliability in a financial context
