Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle project and job cost accounting including WIP reports and IFRS 15 revenue recognition
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and perform balance sheet reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with Qatar tax regulations, including Corporate Income Tax and Withholding Tax
• Track progress billing, client invoicing, and accounts receivable aging
• Process supplier and subcontractor invoices, verify LPOs, and manage payment schedules
• Monitor bank balances, facilities, guarantees, and assist in cash flow planning
• Support internal and external audit processes and improve ERP system utilization

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5–10 years of accounting experience with 3–5 years specifically in the construction sector
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and construction contract accounting
• Hands-on experience with taxation in Qatar
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA
• Experience handling bank guarantees and performance bonds
