Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Own key components of the order-to-cash process, including reviewing SaaS contracts, recording billing details, and monitoring the contract-to-invoice handoff.
• Manage accounts receivable collections and partner with internal teams to build automation that accelerates the collection cycle.
• Oversee the procure-to-pay process, including purchase requests, bill payments, and credit card reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries and monthly balance sheet reconciliations as part of the record-to-report close process.
• Serve as the primary owner of accounting systems and integrations, including NetSuite workflows, Maxio, and Airbase.
• Utilize AI and automation tools to reduce manual reconciliation, improve exception detection, and optimize financial data infrastructure.
• Develop repeatable reporting and analytical outputs, such as AR aging, spend by product line, and revenue trends.
• Build and maintain process documentation and workflows to improve consistency and cross-functional alignment.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of accounting experience in a SaaS or technology company environment.
• Working knowledge of GAAP, specifically ASC 606 and SaaS revenue recognition.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite; familiarity with Maxio and Airbase is a strong plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Proven ability to improve accounting systems and workflows rather than just operating them.
• Proficiency with AI and automation tools to drive efficiency and analytical output.
• Strong critical thinking skills with an ownership mindset to identify and solve process inefficiencies.
