Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive audits to guarantee data precision and consistency among team members' work on client's revenue portfolio
• Generate comprehensive and insightful client monthly revenue reports
• Assess client portals and implement corrective actions to maintain financial accuracy
• Provide leadership through regular communication and constructive feedback to team members
• Reconcile deposit statements with received revenue checks
• Reconcile year-end 1099 forms to validate tax reporting and compliance
• Generate journal entries to facilitate monthly joint billing activities
• Prepare and process monthly joint interest billings and invoices
• Review charges associated with joint interest billing
• Perform calculations and documentation of property allocations
• Classify and upload non-operating joint interest billings into the accounting system

Requirements

• Experience in a related accounting role
• Oil and gas industry experience required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with specialized JIB software
• Strong mathematical and organizational skills
• Exceptional attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
