Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Perform stock-based compensation (SBC) accounting and reporting activities for the monthly close process, including journal entries and variance analysis.
• Prepare general ledger account reconciliations for equity-related accounts.
• Prepare SBC-related disclosures for SEC filings, including Forms 10-K and 10-Q.
• Prepare equity-related reporting packages for management and executive/director disclosures for Proxy statements.
• Interface with external auditors regarding equity and SBC matters for quarterly reviews and annual audits.
• Assist with SOX compliance activities and technical accounting research related to equity.
• Support SEC reporting tasks, including the tie-out of earnings releases and scripts.
• Drive process improvements to increase speed and accuracy in equity close-to-report processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university.
• 3+ years of professional accounting experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of US GAAP and SEC Regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects under tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA certification.
• Experience with stock-based compensation accounting per ASC 718.
• Audit experience with a major public accounting firm.
• Experience with E*Trade and Workiva.
• Experience working with public technology companies.
