Senior Accountant – Statutory Compliance & Reporting

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the timely preparation, review, and filing of local statutory financial statements for a portfolio of legal entities.
• Support or lead local statutory audits and tax requirements.
• Coordinate with outsourced accounting firms and internal departments including Revenue Accounting, Payroll, Tax, and Legal.
• Provide technical support on current accounting standards (such as IFRS) and local statutory requirements.
• Analyze and explain permanent and temporary differences between US GAAP and Local GAAP.
• Ensure US GAAP, local financial reports, and tax returns are reconciled within SAP.
• Support merger and acquisition integration and deregistration processes.
• Facilitate and remediate weaknesses identified in statutory and tax audits.

Requirements

• 4+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in finance or accounting.
• Qualified CPA, CA, or equivalent professional certification.
• Proven experience in financial accounting, statutory reporting, or General Ledger management.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP within an international and multi-currency environment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, specifically SAP, and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage peak periods, including overlap with US time zones.
