About the role
Responsibilities
- Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory and stand-alone legal entity reporting processes.
- Prepare statutory financial exhibits, footnotes, analytics, and financial statement disclosures.
- Support statutory audit efforts and execute related work.
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities within the reporting function.
- Partner with Regulatory Relations and other internal teams to respond to regulator inquiries in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or 4 years of relevant experience.
- 3+ years of experience working on an accounting or reporting team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a similar role at a health insurance company.
- Experience working with US-based insurance companies.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensure.
- Practical experience specifically in statutory reporting.
