About the role
Responsibilities
- Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory and stand-alone legal entity reporting processes, including analytics and financial statement disclosures
- Execute work related to statutory audit efforts
- Prepare statutory financial exhibits, footnotes, and audited financial statements
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities
- Partner with Regulatory Relations and other internal teams to respond to regulator inquiries in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or 4 years of relevant experience
- 3+ years of related experience on an accounting or reporting team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a similar position at a health insurance company
- Experience working with US-based insurance companies
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensure
- Practical experience in statutory reporting
