About the role

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
  • Own assigned areas of monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles
  • Maintain the general ledger and analyze financial results for accuracy and variances
  • Prepare internal and external financial reports, including flux and variance analyses
  • Partner with internal and external auditors by preparing documentation and responding to requests
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Support the company’s SOX 404 program through control activities and process documentation
  • Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen internal controls

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting practices
  • Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and audit support
  • Working knowledge of internal control concepts and SOX 404 framework
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA, CMA, or progress toward professional certification
  • Experience at a publicly traded company with SEC reporting familiarity
  • Big 4 or national public accounting experience
  • Experience in manufacturing, technology, or clean-energy industries
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite
