Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Own key areas of the month-end close process, including preparing complex journal entries, account reconciliations, and fluctuation analyses
• Assist in developing guidance on the accounting implications of new transactions and ensure compliance with US GAAP
• Assist in developing and designing internal controls to improve financial record accuracy and scale processes
• Support the preparation of technical accounting memorandums and the drafting of footnotes and schedules for financial statements
• Coordinate internal and external audit activities, serving as a key point of contact for auditors
• Drive process improvements by identifying opportunities to automate and streamline accounting workflows

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or a mix of public and industry experience
• Strong knowledge and practical application of US GAAP, including complex accounting topics
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work proactively and independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA certification
• Experience with Sage Intacct
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to improve business processes or enhance financial analysis
