Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Download revenue and reconcile with the billing system
• Reserve and assign payments received from customers
• Supervise the correct treatment of COD (Cash On Delivery) accounts
• Follow up on open sales invoices
• Supervise Credit Notes and correctly offset Invoices
• Ensure unapplied and unidentified customer payments are processed
• Ensure no pending transactions related to accounts receivable pending bank reconciliation
• Create all direct debits and process customer returns
• Respond to company/customer inquiries and resolve issues
• Execute Record to Report (R2R) processes according to process descriptions and country instructions
• Prepare and record journal entries for designated SGS subsidiaries
• Create, distribute, and maintain standard GL, FA, INV, and intercompany reports
• Perform periodic general ledger closings and maintain closing schedules
• Maintain responsibility for the standard chart of accounts and prepare timely reconciliations
• Provide customer service meeting or exceeding SLAs
• Cooperate with internal and external auditors to support audit activities

Requirements

• Professional degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or related fields
• 3-4 years of experience in similar roles, preferably in GBS or accounting firms
• Experience working with local customers and suppliers
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite or similar ERP systems is desirable
• Conversational English (B2 level)
