Senior Accountant, SEC Reporting

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and prepare quarterly (10-Q), annual (10-K), and current (8-K) SEC filings
• Review supporting documentation and prepare the tie-out of financial statements and footnotes
• Manage accounting for equity-related transactions, including journal entries and rollforwards for equity-based compensation
• Research new accounting standards and analyze their impact on financial disclosures
• Prepare GAAP disclosure checklists to ensure compliance with SEC guidelines
• Assist with quarterly earnings per share (EPS) calculations
• Maintain documentation for SEC reporting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Support external auditors during annual audits and quarterly reviews
• Identify and implement process improvements within the reporting cycle

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• CPA certification is required
• 3-5 years of accounting experience, including public accounting or SEC reporting at a public company
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC disclosure requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with reporting compliance software such as Workiva or ActiveDisclosure
• Experience with XBRL tagging
