Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Drive and support month-end close procedures, including preparation and review of journal entries
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules
• Maintain revenue recognition schedules in accordance with ASC 606
• Reconcile billing system data to NetSuite
• Coordinate sales tax filings and compliance processes with third-party providers
• Prepare audit-ready schedules and manage PBC requests
• Develop and formalize accounting policies and standard operating procedures
• Establish and maintain a centralized repository for vendor contracts
• Identify opportunities to improve close processes and automation

Requirements

• 3–7 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes
• Experience preparing and reviewing journal entries and reconciliations
• Experience supporting external audits
• Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage recurring deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail with strong documentation capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA license or CPA candidate
• Public accounting experience
• Experience working in NetSuite
• Experience in a SaaS or high-growth company environment
• Exposure to revenue recognition under ASC 606
• Experience drafting accounting memos or policy documentation
• Experience working with sales tax compliance processes
