Senior Accountant, Reinsurance

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and reconcile periodic reinsurance settlement statements
• Carry out monthly and quarterly ledger close procedures, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Validate data from internal systems and external reinsurers
• Maintain accurate and well-documented records for settlements and assumptions
• Identify opportunities for process standardization and automation
• Support the implementation of new reinsurance agreements
• Collaborate with reinsurers and cross-functional teams including Risk Management, Legal, and IT
• Leverage emerging technologies and AI to improve reporting efficiency

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Three to five years of accounting experience, ideally in insurance or public accounting
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Effective written and verbal communication skills

• CPA certification
