Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Perform full-cycle accounting including monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities
• Prepare financial statements and provide data-driven insights to senior leadership
• Proactively identify opportunities to streamline and automate close processes using AI tools
• Prepare and review complex journal entries and perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Oversee high-volume AP/AR, ensure accurate vendor payments, and manage invoicing
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and assist with tax filings
• Act as a liaison with Spanish-speaking internal teams and Mexico-based counterparts
• Mentor or review the work of junior accounting staff and champion AI adoption

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Professional working proficiency in Spanish
• Deep knowledge of GAAP
• Advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables)
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or Sage)
• Demonstrated experience using AI tools, APIs, or automation platforms to improve workflows

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or equivalent certification
