Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Initiate accounting processes to ensure financial statements meet local GAAP
• Monitor the accounting closing process and post journal entries for required adjustments
• Support the organization in meeting local and global regulatory obligations
• Drive process control rigor to support quarterly financial certifications
• Implement monthly financial reports and analytics for risk-based reviews
• Facilitate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting close activities
• Review and prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and reporting packages
• Perform detailed variance (flux) analysis and coordinate issue resolution
• Lead and coordinate responses for internal and external audit requests

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and global accounting close processes
• Proficiency with large ERP systems (SAP ECC/S4 preferred)
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and large data analysis
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• CA (Chartered Accountant), CPA (US), ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification
• Experience working within multinational companies or Global Capability Centers (GCCs)
• Familiarity with reconciliation or automation tools such as BlackLine
• Basic understanding of internal controls, SOX compliance, and audit requirements
• Experience in the technology, fintech, or payments industries
