Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate general ledger, journal entries, and financial records
• Own month-end and year-end close processes across multiple entities
• Prepare and review balance sheets, income statements, and entity-level P&Ls
• Perform bank and account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Manage accounting across multiple entities including operating companies and investments
• Track project-level expenses and property-level P&Ls
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
• Work with external partners on tax coordination and quarterly reviews
• Support leadership with financial reporting and insights
• Work daily in NetSuite and support workflows in AppFolio

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with NetSuite
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills
• Proven experience with general ledger management and financial statement preparation
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Comfortable working remote during U.S. business hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multi-entity accounting structures
• Experience in real estate, development, or investment accounting
• Familiarity with AppFolio or similar property management systems
• Experience working with external accounting firms or auditors
