Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
• Perform monthly reconciliations of general ledger and subledger accounts
• Own month-end and year-end close processes, including variance analysis
• Manage Accounts Payable: process vendor invoices, purchase orders, and employee expense reports
• Manage Accounts Receivable: billing, collections, cash application, and revenue tracking
• Implement and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Partner cross-functionally to ensure financial data integrity
• Lead external audits and determine required documentation
• Utilize and optimize financial systems like QuickBooks Advanced, BILL, and Brex
• Manage payroll-related accounting duties and tax compliance

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA certification required
• 4-6 years of relevant accounting experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of cost accounting and U.S. GAAP
• Proficiency in accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP)
• Advanced Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, data analysis)
• Experience in manufacturing or government contracting environments preferred
• Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident
