Senior Accountant of Financial Reporting-GAAP

Responsibilities

• Prepare U.S. GAAP financial statements and disclosures, including statement of cash flows and statement of equity
• Own GAAP reporting deliverables including Management Discussion & Analysis and disclosure checklists
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Analyze financial results and communicate insights to management
• Leverage emerging technologies like generative AI and RPA to improve reporting efficiency
• Collaborate with external auditors to support audit outcomes and regulatory compliance
• Research technical accounting standards and assist with drafting accounting policy memoranda
• Train and mentor junior staff

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, financial reporting, or auditing
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
• Strong experience with US GAAP, preferably in financial services
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including complex formulas and pivot tables
• Demonstrated ability to apply emerging technologies and automation tools
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or CPA candidate
• Experience with Statutory reporting and insurance regulatory filings
