Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Review journal entries and balance-sheet reconciliations for accuracy
• Record revenue, IPCs, variations, and client billings in line with IFRS
• Execute month-end and year-end close activities including accruals
• Control subcontractor and supplier accounting, advances, and retentions
• Prepare monthly project P&Ls, WIP schedules, and cost-to-complete reports
• Manage project cost accounting, budget vs actuals, and margin tracking
• Enforce accounting controls and support audit readiness
• Support project-based cash-flow forecasting and management reporting
• Support preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
• Liaise with auditors and regulatory authorities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
• 10+ years of experience in accounting for contracting companies
• Hands-on experience with procurement cycles, subcontractors, and retentions
• Proficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel
• Strong working knowledge of IFRS (WIP, revenue recognition)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent)
