Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS
• Monitor project costs, revenue recognition, and profitability for construction projects
• Oversee AP/AR processes including invoice verification and collection follow-ups
• Review monthly payroll, allowances, and overtime in coordination with HR
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and prepare VAT returns
• Monitor daily cash flow, bank balances, and liquidity requirements
• Support the implementation and optimization of ERP systems
• Train and supervise junior accountants

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 10 years of accounting experience
• At least 5 years of experience in the construction or contracting industry
• Strong understanding of project accounting and cost control
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or Tally
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA
