Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Review journal entries, balance-sheet reconciliations, and ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Record revenue, IPCs, variations, and client billings in compliance with IFRS and contract terms.
• Execute month-end and year-end close activities, including accruals and reconciliations.
• Manage subcontractor and supplier accounting, including advances, retentions, and settlement tracking.
• Prepare monthly project P&Ls, WIP schedules, and cost-to-complete reports with detailed analysis.
• Monitor project cost accounting, budget vs. actuals, and margin tracking.
• Enforce accounting controls and DoA compliance while supporting audit readiness.
• Support project-based cash-flow forecasting and the preparation of financial statements.
• Liaise with auditors and regulatory authorities as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 10+ years of accounting experience specifically within the contracting industry.
• Hands-on experience managing procurement cycles, subcontractors, and retentions.
• Strong working knowledge of IFRS, specifically regarding WIP and revenue recognition.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel for complex project accounting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent qualification.
