Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Assist with credit card transaction recording and reconciliation
• Assist controller with month end close process
• Review general ledger for possible reclassification of miscoded entries
• Review and/or prepare monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
• Prepare necessary journal entries
• Reconcile bank accounts and analyze outstanding items for resolution
• Perform general cost accounting and other related duties
• Assist controller in preparing for independent audit

Requirements

• Minimum Associate’s degree in Accounting
• 3-5 years of accounting experience
• Knowledge of GAAP
• Knowledge of general financial and cost accounting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong analytical and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Construction industry experience
