Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Own key areas of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Perform monthly flux and variance analysis to identify key drivers of financial results
• Manage and improve accounting processes across the general ledger, including revenue, AR, and intercompany transactions
• Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, and Product teams to ensure efficient workflows
• Identify and implement opportunities to automate manual processes using technology and AI-enabled tools
• Strengthen internal controls and support external audit requests and documentation

Requirements

• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
• BA/BS in accounting or a related field
• Strong GAAP accounting fundamentals and understanding of financial statement impacts
• Experience in public accounting, industry accounting, or a combination of both
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work through large volumes of financial data
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems
• Background in fintech, banking, payments, or other highly regulated industries
• Experience in a high-growth technology company or startup
• Exposure to AI-driven process improvement or accounting workflow optimization
