Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end close process to ensure accurate and timely reporting
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations for fixed assets, inventory, and revenue
• Serve as an accounting resource for operational and technical matters
• Work cross-functionally to enhance internal controls and ensure policy adherence
• Maintain the chart of accounts and ensure proper transaction coding
• Participate in ERP implementations and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Liaise with external auditors and tax preparers for annual audits and compliance

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
• 3+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, Microsoft D365, Ramp, Bill.com) and Microsoft Excel
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Ability to handle both transactional tasks and strategic projects
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace, satellite, manufacturing, telecommunications, or defense industries
• Experience in high-velocity startup environments
• Background in public accounting
• Active CPA license
• Experience utilizing AI tools for accounting activities
