Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting tasks for two entities ensuring compliance with local GAAP / IFRS standards
• Lead month-end processes including invoice booking, payments, bookkeeping, and establishing reconciliations
• Prepare financial statements and workpapers for UK entity audits
• Manage yearly corporate tax submissions and third-party advisors
• Support quarterly and annual FCA submissions for regulated entities
• Manage quarterly VAT submissions for the UK group
• Assist in budgeting, financial forecasting, and driving process improvements through automation

Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• ACCA qualified or equivalent
• 5+ years of relevant experience or 2+ years PQE
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP/accounting software
• Strong knowledge of financial processes and reporting for multiple entities and currencies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Workday
• Prior experience in financial products or trading
• Exposure to Python
• Experience using AI and automation in finance
