Senior Accountant II

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of GST, TDS, and other statutory returns
• Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants for audits and tax filing
• Monitor changes in Indian tax laws and ensure statutory compliance
• Assist in preparing for internal and external audits and strengthen internal controls
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including ledger maintenance, journal entries, and reconciliations
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments and leadership to ensure accurate reporting
• Create and maintain process documentation and support ad-hoc projects

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• 4–6 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance
• Expertise in Oracle and advanced MS Excel skills
• In-depth understanding of Indian tax laws (GST, TDS, Income Tax)
• Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
• Strong communication skills to explain complex financial information

Preferred Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent professional qualification
• Experience working in a Big 4 firm
