Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements including Balance Sheets, P&L, and Cash Flow in compliance with IFRS
• Manage the general ledger and perform bank, AP, and AR reconciliations
• Handle month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and prepayments
• Prepare and file VAT and Corporate Tax returns in accordance with Federal Tax Authority regulations
• Coordinate internal and external audits and serve as the primary point of contact for auditors
• Assist in budgeting, financial forecasting, and the preparation of regular financial reports
• Monitor accounts receivable/payable, issue invoices, and report on debtors and creditors
• Record daily transactions and maintain accurate financial databases
• Review reports to trace discrepancies and improve accounting processes and internal controls
• Support and mentor junior accounting staff while ensuring compliance with financial policies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce
• Expert knowledge in financial settlements
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems
• In-depth understanding of tax compliance and financial regulations
• High accuracy in data entry and financial reporting
• Mandatory fluency in Arabic
• Proficiency in Corporate Tax Compliance, VAT Management, and Audit Management
