Senior Accountant, Grants & Special Funds

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex financial reports, reconciliations, and analyses for government and private grants ensuring alignment with GAAP and donor specifications
• Execute monthly revenue recognition processes for government funding sources
• Facilitate timely monthly and quarterly funding drawdowns from government agencies
• Track and validate capital construction project invoices and compile data for City payment requisitions
• Administer eRate billings and perform monthly reconciliations
• Execute accounts receivable and deferred revenue reconciliations for government grants and conditional gifts
• Serve as lead preparer for grant-related audit schedules and facilitate Single Audit requests
• Assist with calculation and monitoring of indirect cost rates in adherence to Federal Uniform Guidance
• Maintain funding source structure and documentation within Workday

Requirements

• Experience in grant accounting and financial reporting
• Proficiency with GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards
• Experience with government funding compliance (City, State, and Federal)
• Ability to manage complex portfolios of diverse funding sources
• Experience with audit preparation and facilitation
• Knowledge of capital project accounting or construction invoice processing
