Senior Accountant - GL Accounting

Responsibilities

• Maintain General Ledger accounts for entities within the India Finance Shared Services Center (FSSC)
• Perform timely and accurate monthly balance sheet account reconciliations using Blackline
• Prepare journal entries, prepayment schedules, and monthly accruals
• Analyze and verify the consistency, completeness, and accuracy of accounting documents
• Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including submitting monthly reporting to Corporate
• Perform balance sheet and income statement analyses, including actual versus budget comparisons
• Support internal control reviews for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance
• Assist with internal and external audit requests and resolve auditing issues
• Collaborate with Reporting, SAP, FP&A, and Tax teams to drive process improvements and support system migrations

Requirements

• Chartered Accountant, CPA, ACCA, Cost Accountant, or an equivalent degree in Accounting and Finance
• 3-5 years of related accounting experience
• Experience working within a Finance Shared Service Center (SSC) in a large multinational company
• Proficiency with large ERP systems, specifically SAP and Hyperion
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls
• Experience with Blackline is a significant advantage
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
• Fluent in English, both orally and in writing
