Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts including cash, A/R, A/P, fixed assets, and prepayments
• Ensure proper recording of financial transactions and adjustments during the month-end close process
• Manage balance sheet FX revaluation for the global Group
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate processing
• Prepare analysis of balance sheet and SG&A movements across business units
• Support the budgeting process by providing detailed financial data and analysis
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, regulations, and internal controls
• Assist with external audits and prepare documentation for tax compliance
• Supervise, mentor, and provide training to junior accounting staff
• Participate in the development and implementation of accounting systems and process improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, specifically in general ledger management and financial reporting
• Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to work onsite in the Stamford, CT office 5 days a week
